Subject:  Joint resolution on choice of Connector route

The attached resolution has been adopted by the El Dorado Hills Citizens Alliance and the Four Seasons Civic League. Both are 501(c)4 public benefit corporations supporting the bets interests of the people of El Dorado Hills. Supplemental material relating to these resolutions is web-accessible at http://www.edhca.net.

In brief, the most important part of our resolution is that the Capital Southeast Connector must not be permitted to carry inter-regional traffic between a large area of Sacramento County and all of El Dorado County by routing it through El Dorado Hills on White Rock Road. Long term impact to traffic congestion in El Dorado Hills would be extremely harmful to our community.

We support the basic concept of the Connector as one that will be needed as much by El Dorado Hills as by other cities along its route. We further recommend placing very high priority on identifying alternate routes to make the Connector a bypass to relive traffic in the major El Dorado Hills commercial, business, and industrial areas south of US 50.

We appreciate the efforts of Executive Director Tom Zlotkowsky and the Connector JPA's staff and consultants for the public outreach process recently started as a series of three workshops in El Dorado Hills. Thank you for their effort and for giving your attention to this matter.

Respectfully submitted,
