Election, Tuesday November 7th --
The Citizens Alliance endorses these candidates:
| EDH Community Services District Director: |
Justin Masters, Marc Pearl, Tony Rogozinski |
| EDH Fire District* Director: |
John Knight, Dorothy Nesbitt, Michael Stockam |
* The Fire District's legal name, which appears on the ballot, is the El Dorado Hills County Water District.
The Citizens Alliance has not considered taking a position on any state
ballot measures. However, the El Dorado County Transportation
Commission, District 1 County Supervisor Rusty Dupray, and several
others holding positions of responsibility have endorsed Proposition 1A and Proposition 1B.
1A closes a loophole which has been used to divert Proposition 42
gasoline sales tax funds to uses other than road and transportation
projects. 1B is the Highway Safety, Traffic Reduction, Air Quality, and
Port Security Bond Act. County officials expect to be able to benefit
from this measure to fund improvements on the US 50 corridor.
Such improvements are a key goal of the Citizens Alliance. We recommend
that our members devote special attention to reviewing Proposition 1A
and Proposition 1B when deciding how to vote.
Next meeting -- Tuesday, November 14th, 7:00 p.m.
Topic: El Dorado Hills traffic and road system, projects and issues
Speakers from the El Dorado County Department of Transportation:

In addition to familiar traffic issues this will be an opportunity to
consider how El Dorado Hills and El Dorado County are involved in the
SACOG MTP (Sacramento Area Council Of Governments Master Transportation
Plan), which is the subject of workshops two days later.
