Town Hall II Meeting         Town Hall Meeting

County Supervisors Rusty Dupray and Helen Baumann will join CSD directors for a second Town Hall meeting. This one is to focus on safety and security topics, such traffic safety, vandalism, and crime.

This is in response to strong public interest in this subject area at the October 4th Town Hall meeting. The Citizens Alliance encourages everyone on our distribution list to attend if you can and to let your friends and neighbors know about the meeting.

Town Hall I:  A good start

About 125 people attended the Town Hall meeting on October 4th. The two hours of meeting time provided a forum for comments and questions from about 20 EDH residents.across a spectrum of community issues.Topic areas ranged from specific parks and recreation situations through traffic, public safety, CC&R enforcement, and other issues. Some of the topics involve the meaning to EDH of actions ranging from Shingle Springs (the Miwok casino), Mather Field (jet freighter noise) and Elk Grove (what The Connector means to EDH traffic). Mostly, discussion was focused dead center on our town.

The participating County supervisors and CSD directors mutually confirmed their agreement to conduct an additional Town Hall meeting on public safety, the one now scheduled for October 24th. Town Hall I was a good beginning for new dialog among EDH citizens and our representatives..

El Dorado/Elk Grove Connector Meeting

Some of the discussion at Town Hall I was about the Connector. An opportunity to follow up in greater depth is the Citizens Alliance meeting on Monday, October 29th, 7:00 p.m. at the EDH library. Speakers are our three R.'s for Roads:  Russ, Richard, and Rusty:
Now, at the beginning of Connector planning, is the best time for dialog among these gentlemen and we, the people who will use the Connector and the EDH roads that carry traffic to and from it.
