Town Hall Meeting, Wednesday 3/19 at Senior Center
Next EDHCA meeting April 30th
Town Hall Meeting: 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, at Senior Center
The El Dorado Hills Community Services District and the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors will jointly host a Town Hall meeting on EDH road and traffic issues. The meeting will be at the EDH Senior Center, at the corner of El Dorado Hills Blvd. and Lassen Lane.
Speakers from the County Department Of Transportation include Richard Shepard, DOT Director, and Russ Nygaard, Deputy Director for the Foothill Division. County Supervisors Rusty Dupray and Helen Baumann will also participate. One topic will be a recent BOS decision, reached on a 3-2 vote with supervisors representing generally rural areas prevailing over those representing most of El Dorado Hills:
“El Dorado Hills and the
residents on the western slope of this county were short changed by
recent road funding decisions of the Board of Supervisors. The
County is not staying ahead of road improvement projects in our area
despite the considerable amount of transportation funding generated
from our community,” stated CSD President Billy Vandegrift.
“A good example is the unfinished link between Saratoga Way and
Iron Point Road in Folsom.”
Next EDHCA meeting April 30th
We'll announce full details of this meeting in the first week of April. It will be the 4th in our series of Conversations With Candidates meetings, this one featuring District 1 candidate John Knight and District 2 candidate Chuck Hammond.
Scheduling meetings has become particularly challenging due to increased competition for use of the EDH Library meeting room, heightened by the Library's shift to permit evening use only on Mondays through Wednesdays. In the case of this meeting it was necessary to search for dates more than 2 months ahead.
