Newly elected Assemblymember Alyson Huber, representing Assembly District 10, will speak at the next Community Council/APAC meeting. She is the first El Dorado Hills citizen to be elected to state office.

The meeting will be:

     Wednesday, February 11th, 7:00 p.m.
     EDH Community Services District Pavilion
     1021 Harvard Way

The Citizens Alliance supports the Community Council and especially recommends this upcoming meeting with Alyson Huber to the EDH public.

EDH CHP service moves from Placerville to Rancho Cordova

Effective January 5th, the California Highway Patrol responsible for El Dorado Hills is now a new office in Rancho Cordova. This office is reported to be staffing up, with 60 officers planned. Its eastern limit of service is to be Bass Lake Road, with the CHP's Placerville Office retaining responsibility east of that point. Support for the Reimbursable Service Agreements for three El Dorado Hills homeowners associations also is transferred from Placerville to Rancho Cordova.

The Citizens Alliance has not yet contacted the Rancho Cordova office, but we hope this will improve the CHP's ability to supply traffic patrol services in El Dorado Hills. CHP presence decreased substatially last summer, and traffic has largely reverted to "anything goes".

New Supervisors and Directors

The Citizens Alliance welcomes these newly elected public officials representing El Dorado Hills in our most important offices:
One positive sign in public outreach was Supervisor Nutting's initiation of a meeting with members of the Citizens Alliance core group, which two of our directors were able to attend. Also, Alyson Huber welcomed our request for an initial meeting, attended by 3 Citizens Alliance directors and two additional members of our core group. We hope this beginning in 2009 marks the start of a good new year for constructive and cooperative communication.
